Proverbs 16:9 says, “The heart of man plans his way but the Lord establish his steps.” I love to plan, don't you? It makes me think I have some control which is an illusion. I not only have a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly planner but a faith one. I plan all the things but I don't plan all things that will crush me. But the crushing is the connection. As Proverbs 16:9 says, my heart will plan but Proverbs 19:21 says, “many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.” That takes the pressure off of me and onto my maker. The crushing is connecting me to Christ so that's who I put my confidence in. My job is to plan, God's job is to pave. I need to strengthen my new superpower of the pivot. No, I'm not a bball player but the superpower of the pivot is pivotal in my everyday plans. Once I surrender my plans I can trust God he will pave a way and it will be the perfect package. Let's release this together, I surrender my expectations and exchange them for the perfect package that is paved out for me. God wants to do more for you but we must learn to pivot our plans for his. God wants to exceed your expectations. How can he exceed them if we limit him to what we are experiencing? How you explain your experience to yourself will either station you or strengthen you to step into it. No more excuses because if you're IN it then it's already IN you. Sometimes the plan is paved with pain and problems. It's all about perspective, it's all about your personal experience with the one who created you. The one who gives you daily compassion, confidence and courage to carry it out.
